Can I Start Waxing and Threading After Laser Hair Removal.

(Hayes)

Hi,
I just wanted to know after the 6-8 recommended laser sessions, when the hair starts to get less dense and return finer and a lot less.

Can you go back to threading ,waxing these hairs instead of doing the top up laser sessions?

If so, will it reduce the effect of the laser treatment meaning if you thread or wax will it thicken those finer hairs when they grow back.

Primarily I mean the face area(sideburns, chin, upper lip,and neck)

Thanks

Answer We don’t recommend going back to threading or waxing as there is a 50% chance the hairs may grow back stronger and thicker.

The face area is very hormonal so there is always a possibility you get new hair after the treatment and top up’s are always recommended for this area.

To give you an example I have clients that have had full legs with a 90% reduction of hair growth after 8 sessions and only required a top up once every 18 months or a year.

Whereas I have had clients that have had laser on the face and required a top up once a year. Some clients have returned twice in one year. These clients were either suffering from PCOS or had some kind of hormonal imbalance.

My advice to you is that if you are going to spend money on laser you should continue the hair removal procedure with a top up once a year and try to avoid threading and waxing.
