An Honest Answer to the Common Question:
Does Microdermabrasion Work?

Many prospective clients contact me asking me the common question:

Does microdermabrasion work?

Well, based on the experience of both myself and my well-trained staff and by asking current clients about their results, I can tell you that the answer is YES.

If you're seeking a simple, non-invasive skin rejuvenating procedure that requires no surgery, no anaesthetic and minimal pain, you can rest assured that microdermabrasion does work.

Minimise Skin Imperfections

I have used microdermabrasion to minimise many different superficial skin imperfections for my clients, including age spots, blackheads and mild pigment irregularities or uneven skin tone.

microdermabrasion acne scars

I have also helped clients to eliminate fine wrinkles and lines, reduce large pores, and revitalize their dull skin, giving them a healthier, brighter and younger complexion.

However, if you suffer from major skin imperfections like deep scars or severe wrinkles, you will require a different procedure; microdermabrasion only affects a very fine top layer of your skin, and can't reach the deeper layers.

Reduce Acne Scars

If you have mild acne scars, the answer to "Does microdermabrasion work" is another resounding yes!

Not only does the microdermabrasion procedure work quickly and effectively to eliminate red marks and superficial acne scars, but you can return to your daily routine almost as soon as you leave the salon.

My clients really appreciate the fact that there is no down time, unlike many more invasive skin rejuvenation procedures such as laser resurfacing or dermabrasion.

My only warning is that microdermabrasion only works on people with mild acne, not moderate to severe cases. The reason is that acne-prone skin may be too sensitive and become irritated by the microcrystals used in the microdermabrasion wand.

Obviously, the actual results will depend on your skin's ability to recover, your prior medical conditions and the experience of the person who performs the actual microdermabrasion procedure.

However, my answer to the question "Does microdermabrasion work" is definitely yes. Compared to other skin rejuvenating procedures, microdermabrasion is less invasive, more affordable, has the fewest side effects, is virtually painless, and can be performed on all skin colors and types.
