Hair removal for South Asian skin

I have had laser hair removal before on IPL and received a large number of treatments - however the results haven’t been particularly amazing - although there has been some reduction. I don’t think that I need to start on the lowest level, but start rather on a higher level, due to the laser treatment I have had before.

Do you assess which level is required to start at? Or do you start at a low level? I don’t want to waste money that is why I ask.

One other question, which is better for hair removal for South Asian skin: IPL or the Soprano XL? Bearing in mind that you can get laser hair removal at such cheap prices on the IPL.

Answer: It seems that you have spent a lot of money on your treatment, really not suitable for darker skin.

IPL is really only suitable for skin type 1-3. South Asian skin is classified as skin type 5-6.

My guess is the IPL was done on a low setting to avoid your skin being burnt because of your skin colour.

Also IPL is not classed as a laser and is a very inexpensive machine and therefore salons can offer treatment at a low price.

The only problem is cheaper is not always the best option. Especially when you are dealing with your skin.

We use the soprano laser technology that is suitable for all skin types and even black skin.

It is a diode laser. You can find out more about the laser by clicking this link.

When you see a therapist they should assess your skin and hair type and then set the machine according to your skin type.

I Hope that answered some of your questions
