Microdermabrsion Marks On Skin

Hello. I was just wondering is microdermabrasion good for old red acne marks? I have a lot of smooth skin but it looks red from old acne marks.

Will it get rid of redness and marks?

Also is it good for existing spots as I've heard it can spread bacteria around the face and make it worse?

Ive had skin peels but can't afford to have any downtime with peeling which is why I'm wondering if microdemabrasion can help me?

Answer: Mel, this seems like a difficult question to answer without first looking at your skin.

You mention you have old red acne marks but until I see your skin I cannot recommend a course of action. If you are unable to make it to my clinic then send me a picture of your skin. It’s possible you may have some hyper pigmentation marks where you had the acne spots.


I will say that Microdermabrasion is good for superficial acne scarring and skin rejuvenation.
