Not Sure If Laser Hair Removal Worked

Hi there, I had an area zapped with a laser and while it was getting done, I could smell burning and hear the odd sizzle and crackle. My skin does now obviously look a little red but the actual hairs are still there but halved in two or crumpled right down to my skin. Is this normal or has the therapist just aimed to high making my hairs burst into flames before the laser got to the root? X

The odd sizzle and crackle is normal. It depends if it was a zapping laser (elastic band type lasers) you will hear a lot of sizzle and crackling

You will probably hear it more if the hairs haven’t been shaved thoroughly. Normally laser is performed once the area has been shaved. Your skin will be red for about 24hrs to 48hrs and should calm down afterwards. So it really depends on the laser that has been used.
