The Hairy Wedding Auntie

I was at an Indian wedding a few weeks ago. There was a seating plan. My family found our table and sat down. There were three empty seats. Five minutes later the other family arrived.

It was husband and wife and a teenage son. To my surprise I was left stunned to notice that the mother had a lot of facial hair. The funny thing was that she was very proud of this fact and had actually groomed it and was shaped like a goatee beard.

I had to keep a straight face. Even when we were talking to her we tried not to stare at her beard.

The situation was made worse when she started stroking it while she was talking. The funniest thing is when my daughter said out loud "why don't you grow a beard like her mummy, it looks funny". There was an uncomfortable silence and luckily the dj announced that the bride and groom were entering the hall and could everyone please welcome them!!!!!!
