Threading Hair Removal A Very Popular Treatment At My Salon
You may wonder why threading is so popular. Well, there are several reasons:
It’s very cheap – It will cost you less than a Sandwich
It’s very fast – You will be in and out of the salon in no time
It’s very neat – There are no messy creams or waxes involved
It’s long-lasting – The results can last from two to four weeks
Background of Threading
The process of threading hair originated from India. However, you will find conflicting views all over the Internet regarding its origin. Some people claim that threading started in Turkey, some say in the Middle East, whilst others state that it originated in Egypt.
Regardless of where it originated, threading has become a mainstream treatment option that is currently available in every major town and city throughout Western civilisation.
You will find that the price of threading differs from town to town. At my salon, I charge £3 for eyebrow threading. However, in other parts of the UK, salons charge anywhere from £10 to £25 just for threading eyebrows.
Many of my customers travel from neighbouring towns such as Ealing and Uxbridge to have their eyebrows threaded at my salon because of our low cost.
The reason why we are able to offer threading at such a low cost is because we are located in a town in West London called Southall, which is also known as "Little India".
It is called Little India because 95% of the population is from an Indian background.
This means that competition for threading in the community is high, and thus prices are low. If you visit Southall, you’ll see literally hundreds of places offering threading hair removal.
Women tend to have their upper lip, sideburns, eyebrows or entire face treated. Threading is a painful experience despite what you may have read, but you will look amazing once the treatment is finished.
Men also have threading done. In fact, our male clientele make up 30% of my business. Guys tend to have their cheeks, nose, beard area and in between their eyebrows treated. I find it amusing to watch my male clients because they tend to scream the loudest!
I suppose that’s why they are the first to switch from threading hair removal to laser hair removal for men.
How Threading Works
Threading basically involves twisting a thread and creating a trap. The hairs are then caught and removed by the root. The rapid back-and-forth movement of the thread removes the unwanted hairs efficiently and quickly.
Threading is so precise that even a single hair can be easily removed.
